This album, comprised of 39 pages on which 39 photographs are mounted, has no dates associated with the photographs, but there is an item listing taped to the inside cover that was received March 1950. The main theme is mining practices in the Bonanza Creek area; specifically mining gold. Photos by the National Film Board.

The following places can be found in the album: Yukon Consolidated Gold Mining Corporation, Bear Creek, Yukon Territory; Whitehorse; Alaska Highway; Hunker Creek; Pleasant Creek; Moosehide, Native village.

The following events can be found in the album: cleaning gold brick after casting; pouring a gold brick in the gold room; highway engineers inspecting bridge; removing metallic impurities from gold dust; "tailing piles" of barren gravel left by placer mining dredges; road under construction by Canadian Army; "thawing" gravel for placer mining operations; "monitor" stripping away earth, leaving gravel exposed; construction work on Alaska Highway.

Custodial history:

This album was originally part of accession 1974-366, which had been integrated into 1973-357. It has since been separated back into the two individual accessions of 1973-357 and 1974-366.
