This album, comprised of 42 pages on which 146 photographs are mounted, contains photos mostly by Major D.L. McKeand, but also J.W. Anderson, W.J. Eck, and J. Whitley, the latter's works used for A.G. Thompson's "Aurora Borealis". The album notes to see a memo on file 8375, Mar. 20, 1946 in regards to the Whitley photographs. Some of the main subjects of the McKeand photos in this album are places in Greenland and the U.S. meterological station in Clyde River, which was erected in 1942 - the year before the meterological station photographs were taken. The photos were probably taken on an Eastern Arctic Patrol trip, since the R.M.S. Nascopie and F.R.E. Sparks also feature in the album.
