This series is arranged in four sub-series

Sub-series: Photographs in chronological ordrer, 1925-1992, volume 1. This sub-series comprises more than 450 photographs covering the life of Pierre Elliott Trudeau. These photographs document his scholar years, his family, his friends, his trips, the electoral campaign and the campaign to the Leadership (1968) and the years after retrirement from political carreer.

Sub-series: Photographs taken by P.E. Trudeau with a Minox camera in chronological order: 1954-1958, volume 2. This series comprises more than 700 photographs documenting his trips, his friends and some special events (ex Murdochville strike in 1957).

Sub-series: Photographs in alphabetical order, 1937-1964, volume 3. This sub-series comprises about 90 photographs of women, friends of Pierre E. Trudeau.

Sub-series: Albums 1975-1991, volumes 4-9. This sub-series comprises about 600 photographs arranged in souvenir albums given to Pierre Elliott Trudeau after official visits.
