This series consists of the letters patent, constitution and by-laws and various acts and legislation related to the Canadian Crafts Council (C.C.C.). Also included are files related to the Council's achievements 1974-1976, a report on the Council's structure and function, and information on the amalgamation of the Canadian Craftsmens Association and the Canadian Guild of Crafts (CCA/CGC) in 1974. It also contains a booklet entitled Les droits de la personne au Canada: regard sur le racisme, par Daniel G. Hill, preface par Emmett M. Hall 1978; federal sales tax briefs and files related to customs and excise legislation 1970s and an organization policy manual 1974-1977 containing the official letters patent and by-laws of the C.C.C. dated 6 May 1974 with seal and ribbon, plus minutes. A standard operating procedures manual 1977-1983 and information on provincial legislation pertaining to crafts also form part of this series.

Files are arranged chronologically in parallel groupings of repetitive titles reflecting their donation to the National Archives by the Council over eight (8) separate accessions. The files also reflect the Council's use of an internal numerical system.
