Saunders, Leslie G., 1895-1968 : Leslie G. Saunders (1895-1968), biologist, academic, amateur photographer. Born 1895/12/03 London, England. Flourished Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, 1925-ca. 1961. A professor of biology at the University of Saskatchewan, Saunders both sketched and photographed during field trips to South and Central America and to the Phillipines. Widely exhibited, he became an Assoc. of the Royal Photographic Society ca. 1940. Died 1968/09/11 Victoria, British Columbia.

Works located in: National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa, Ont.; Mendel Art Gallery, Saskatoon

Exhibition(s): 1925-1955 C, various Canadian, American, and British salons (group). 1936, Empire Exhibition, Johannesburg, South Africa (group).
