Collection consists of 36 photographs depicting views of Lakefield, Ontario and vicinity including: Hotel Lakefield, ca. 1920; a regatta, ca. 1908; logging; S.S. Majestic; S.S. Empire; Alligator Hazlitt; and photos of Thomas and Gilbert Gordon and Alex MacDonald, ca. 1903.

Collection also consists of 89 photographs depicting postcard views of Lakefield, Ontario and environs including the Trent Canal, Grand Trunk Railway, and steamboats.

As well as 7 photographs depicting the homesteads of sam Strickland and Susanna Moodie near Lakefield, Ontario and 9 photographs depicting views of Lakefield, Ontario, some of the photos which were taken by Galbraith of Toronto, Ontario.

Collection also contains 34 photographs showing views of Lakefield, Ontario; photos by G.M. Douglas of Lakefield, Mr. Gran of Peterborough, and Bruce Murdoch the photographer for the Hamilton Spectator.
