The processed records, 1978 to 1990, contain files from the Hon. Patricia Carney's three portfolios, (Energy, Mines and Resources; International Trade; and, the Treasury Board). There are also some records related to her constituency work and work with the federal Conservative Party. There is a great deal of information relating to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (G.A.T.T.) and Free Trade in the Ministry of International Trade (M.I.N.T.) files. Researchers should be sure to review the finding aid for both of the Memoirs sub-series since the documentation on the portfolios is well represented in both portions.
