Batteries are loaded and fired as barrages are laid down in preparation for infantry attacks. One gun is manned by ANZACs. An Allied fighter is shown spiralling down trailing smoke. Shells explode on the horizon. A huge explosion almost fills the screen as a mine is set off. Infantrymen go over the top and proceed across no-man's land.
