Fonds consists of portraits of federal and provincial political leaders, including most of the Liberal Cabinet in 1968, all opposition party leaders, all provincial premiers, some provincial opposition leaders, and portraits of Margaret Trudeau, Jean Drapeau, and Paul Rose. Works by Nickolay Sabolotny (1927-1989). Those portrayed include: Jean-Pierre Côté, Léo Cadieux, John Turner, Donald S. MacDonald, Jean Marchand, Lester B. Pearson, John Robarts, Paul Rose, William G. Davis, Jean Drapeau, William A. C. Bennett, Jean-Jacques Bertrand, Robert Bourassa, Walter Weir, Joey Smallwood, Louis Robichaud, Ed Schreyer, George Isaac Smith, Camil Samson, Alex Campbell, Ross Thatcher, René Levesque, Harry Strom, Edgar J. Benson, Paul Martin, Mitchell Sharp, Tommy C.Douglas, John Diefenbaker, Réal Caouette, George Hees, Jean-Luc Pépin, Eric Kierans, Robert Stanfield, Allan MacEachern, Bryce Mackasey, George McIlraith, Lucien Lamoureux, Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Margaret (née Sinclair) Trudeau, J. J. Greene, Jean Chrétien, Gérard Pelletier. Some of these drawings may have been reproduced in the Toronto Star, for whom Mr. Sabolotny worked as a free-lance illustrator.

Sabolotny, Nickolay, 1927-1989 : Nickolay Sabolotny, born April 12, 1927 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, died 13 April 1989. Sabolotny was employed by Energy, Mines, and Resources as a graphic artist and draughtsman. He was also a free-lance illustrator.
