The series consists of correspondence and memoranda set aside by John McGreevy because of the prominence of his correspondents, or because it related to non-filmmaking projects, or because it related to more than one project. Two photographs were enclosed with correspondence, including a Primedia Productions Ltd. publicity photo and a snapshot of John McGreevy.

Among the correspondents are the following: Elie Wiesel [ca.1972], W.H. Auden 1972, Sir Bernard Lovell 1972, Iris Murdoch 1972, Anthony Burgess 1972, Malcolm Muggeridge 1973, Hans Suyin 1973, Claude Lévi-Strauss 1974; A.J.P. Taylor 1976 (see file 1970-1976); Denise Pelletier 1971, [Ivan Illich] 1975, K.C. Irving 1976 (see file ca. 1970-1976); Mila Mulroney 1989, Moses Znaimer ca. 1995, Satyajit Ray 1987, Pierre Elliott Trudeau 1986, Peter Ustinov n.d., Peter C. Newman, 1981, Albert Millaire 1983, Robertson Davies 1982, Patrick Watson 1979, R.D. Laing 1977, 1978, Laurence Olivier 1973 (see file 1973-1990). Other correspondents include Primedia Productions and Gelgoot and Associates. There is correspondence about the Banff Television Festival, Glenn Gould Foundation and National Magazine Awards 2000. Some of the files contain correspondence relating to Cities, (including correspondence from Russell Gould, father of Glenn Gould), Peter Ustinov in Russia, Peter Ustinov in China, Around the World in 15 Minutes, Born Talking, Quebec/Canada 1995, Return Journey, Secret of the Phantom of the Opera and Seeds of Greatness. The 1989 file includes an address by McGreevy to the Arts and Letters Club of Toronto. The 1990 file includes correspondence about a proposed profile of Brian Macdonald. The 1992-1999 file includes an outline of a Shakespeare project idea by Robin MacNeil (MacNeil/Lehrer Productions).
