The series consists of four sound recordings and a video cassette documenting Canadian Federation of University Women conferences and participation in the formation of public policy. The earliest audio reels are recordings of a panel discussion on the status of women, 25 April 1960, and a speech by Judy LaMarsh at the Centenary Dinner of the CFUW, 1 June 1967. In addition, there is an audio cassette of CFUW President Jean Steer speaking before the Task Force on Canadian Unity, ca. 1977-1978; an audio reel of keynote speaker Naomi Griffiths addressing the Triennial Conference in Winnipeg, 18 August 1982; and a video cassette of the CFUW Western Regional Conference, "Today's Women, Challenges of Tomorrow", 27-29 April 1984, including interviews with presenters and some footage of sessions.
