Fonds consists of photocopies of Francis Grob's family papers, 1842-1934, of his correspondence, 1930-1932, relating to the ocean flight "Justice for Hungary", as well as of his personal and business correspondence, 1928-1976.

Grob, Francis, 1892-1977 : Born in Hungary, Francis Grob(1892-[1977]) came to Canada in 1927. After a short period as a farm labourer, he moved to Regina, where from 1930-1931 he represented "Pannonia", a colonization and trading company based in Winnipeg. From 1933-1934, he acted as an agent for a New York stockbroker in Hanover, Ontario. He left business to take up farming in Mount Pleasant Ontario, continuing in this occupation until his retirement in 1965.
