Accession consists of photographs depicting exterior views of the old and new post office buildings at Summerside, P.E.I. (each photo bears a rubber stamp marking on the reverse with the following inscription "Postmaster - Summerside, P.E.I. - C1N 3K0"); copy negative depicting the "R-100" airship at St. Hubert Aerodrome, Montreal (ca. 1930); copy negative depicting the steamer "City of Monticello" in Saint John Harbour (ca. 1889-1896); mimeographed copy of a typescript entitled "Extract from Red Book of Instructions to Railway Mail Service - 1920" prepared by Chief Superintendent, Railway Mail Service, Ottawa, Ontario dated 15 Feb. 1940; and original carbon copy of a Canada Post Office Department typescript entitled "Notes on the Early History of the Post Office in Saint John and the Province of New Brunswick" ca. 1955.

Photocopies of newspaper articles on the Newcastle, N.B. post office and the Summerside, P.E.I. post office accompany the accession.
