General note:

Accession consists of three major groups of material: RCAF albums from post WWII, documenting the construction of RCAF stations across Canada; "MI" and "MJ" series of RCAF photographs and a photographic album that belonged to E. Pye, documenting his experience as a soldier in France in WWI. This album is located in container 2001104011.

Note on the state of conservation:

Graphic (photo): RCAF post war albums in poor condition and must be conserved. "MI" series of DND photographs are rolled and must be flattened.

Custodial history:

Transferred from the The Directorate of History and Heritage in 1998.

Original extent note:

Many photographs from this direct transfer were recommended for destruction because they had no archival value.
