Canada. Indian Affairs Branch. Brandon District Office : The Brandon District Office (Responsibility Centre Code 577) was formed in 1968 with the amalgamation of the Dauphin Agency and the Portage la Prairie Agency. The Brandon District Office, along with the Norway House Agency, were amalgamated into the Manitoba Regional Office responsibility centre effective April 1, 1972. The Brandon District Office was responsible for the following bands: Long Plain (03); Long Plain Sioux (04); Swan Lake (06); Birdtail Sioux (08); Gamblers (09); Keeseekoowenin (10); Waywayseecappo (11); Oak Lake (12); Oak River Sioux [Sioux Valley] (13); Rolling River (14); Crane River (15); Ebb & Flow (16); Pine Creek (17); Sandy Bay (18); Valley River (20); Water Hen (21); General list (50); Shoal River (19).
