Series consists of photographs depicting the Channel Islands connection with Cape Breton, N.S. and Gaspé Peninsula; details of Robin Co. establishments, boats, gear, fish processing; series of old Quebec houses; series of people of Channel Islands descent in Canada; ship-building; comparison of Jersey and Canadian homes; Jersey ship paintings; Bluenose; and images of Colonel Birk and his aeroplane.

Also included are views and subjects in and around the following places: Channel Islands of Jersey and Alderney; Malaga and the Alhambra, Spain; Evora, Portugal; Quimperlé, Dinard, France; Westminster Abbey, London, England; Oslo, Bergen, Norway; Percé, Quebec; Cape Breton Island; and Digby, N.S.; activities of the Frant Hunt, Frant, Sussex; fishing operations and gear in the Gaspé, Cape Breton Island, Channel Islands, France, and Norway. All photos by Mrs. William McKie (Phyllis R. Birks).

Series also includes photos of historic locations on Cape Breton Island, N.S.; historic houses and churches in Quebec; Manor House, Normandy, France, ancestral home of Rachel Brayley of the Montreal Camera Club; 14th century house in Ashwell, England; and a portrait of John Wardrop Ross, Montreal, Que., ca. 1930, by Notman.
