The sub-series comprises selected manuscripts and typescripts copied from the library of the Royal Commonwealth Society's general material classification. It contains correspondence of the Imperial Federation League, 1885-1913 (reel A-1185); the diary and letters of Sir Edward John Harding relating to the Dominions Royal Commission, 1913-1916 (reel A-1185); a scrapbook of Alfred Roche on the Canadian Northwest, 1852-1902 (reel A-1186); a typescript memoir, A Canadian Polar Expedition, by Captain Joseph E. Bernier, 1901 (reel A-1186); a manuscript, Colonies in their commercial relations to the Mother country, by Charles Walter Eddy, 1870 (reel A-1185); and three scrapbook albums of Sir William Lamond Allardyce of part of his term as Governor of Newfoundland, 1924-1927 (reel A-1187).
