The sub-series consists of selections relating to Canada from the Archives of the Royal Colonial Institute. It includes minute books and correspondence of the Newfoundland Fisheries Committee, 1875; colonial museum correspondence, 1876-1886; extracts from the files relating to The Empire at War volumes, 1916-1925; and specimens of autographs of the 7th Earl Albermarle, Sir John Bourinot, and Sir Charles Tupper. The extracts from the Empire at War files contain general papers, material on the Rhodes Trust, and correspondence with Professor F. H. Underhill respecting his contribution on Canada for the series, in particular the First World War battles of 1918. The sub-series is on reel A-1185.
