Fonds consists of paintings entitled "Laurier House, Ottawa"; "Monastery of Our Lady of Charity, Ottawa" which now houses the Chinese Embassy; "Birthplace of R.B. Bennett" showing the house in Hopwell Hill, Albert County, New Brunswick where Bennett was born in 1870; "Earnscliffe" showing Sir John A. Macdonald's former residence in Ottawa, now the British High Commission; scene at Kirkland Lake, Ontario; Rideau Canal Locks and Parliament Hill, Ottawa; Chapman's Barn, on the Goodwood (formerly Jock) River, near Richmond, where the Duke of Richmond died August 28, 1819; residence of Lord Strathcona, Montreal; Point where Alexander Mackenzie turned back from the Pacific. Works are by Ralph W. Burton.

Burton, Ralph Wallace, 1905-1983 : Ralph W. Burton, was born at Newington, Ontario. He studied art in Ottawa and in Paris. He later sketched with A.Y. Jackson in Québec. He worked as an artist until the outbreak of the Second World War, when he enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. At the end of the war, he returned to Ottawa and continued to work as an artist until his death. He wroked primarily in oils similar in style to the Group of Seven.
