Series consists of records relating to the construction of the Pinetree Warning Line, 1951-1959. This line was built by Defence Construction (1951) Ltd. but was financed in part by the American government. The records include the contract between DCL and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, CANUSAD billings to the United States for payments made by DCL to its sub-contractors, augmentation programme billings and correspondence concerning the remission of the Canadian federal sales tax on purchases of supplies and equipment.
