The files are arranged alphabetically within numeric file blocks and consist of applications as instructors at the Royal Military College, Kingston or for commissions in the permanent force (including statements of qualification and some service records for military service with various Imperial forces). Other files include medical reports, charts, certificates of death, discharges or transfers to reserve categories.
