Collection consists of one group photograph of Canadian school children of Japanese descent on a class picnic to Lynn Creek, North Vancouver, British Columbia. These Japanese Canadian children would attend English schooling in the mornings and attend Japanese School classes in the afternoon. George Takahashi was one of the children in the photograph. The school he attended was 439 Alexander Street.

Takahashi, George, 1919-1998 : George Takahashi, born May 1919, died May 1998 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He lived in Vancouver, British Columbia as a child and attended the Alexander Street Japanese School there. Information provided by his widow, Edythe Y Takahashi.
