Sub-series consists of correspondence, reports and studies concerning the state of computer sciences in Canada. These were prepared in conjunction with a study commissioned by the Science Council of Canada in 1971. Two final reports were published by the Council: one in August 1971 (report no. 13) and one in September 1973 (report no. 21).

Sub-series includes records dating from 1973-1976 that constitute follow-up to the Computer Sciences Study (see linked accession titled "Climate, computer and population studies," boxes 5-7).
