Fonds consists of photographs of various flowers and natural scenery taken across Canada, as well as five portraits and snapshots of Philip J. Croft, including two photographs taken in his West Vancouver home, 27 January 1981, by Joan M. Schwartz.

Croft, Philip James, 1901-1985 : Philip James Croft (1901- ), engineer, amateur photographer. Born 1901/11/24 Weybridge, Surrey, Philip James Croft (1901- ), England. Flourished Hamilton, Ont., 1920-1927 ; Montreal, Quebec, 1927-1945 ; Toronto, Ont., 1945-1957 ; Vancouver, B.C., 1957-. Helped revive Montreal Camera Club (1932): served on executive (1933-1935, 1937-1939), named Honorary Life Member (1942). Member, Toronto Camera Club. Taught and published lectures on technique. Known for pictorial, nature, and early colour work.
