Health Promotion Contribution Program (Canada) : The Health Promotion Contribution Program (HPCP) was coordinated by the Health Services and Promotions Branch (HSPB). The HSPB was created during the fiscal year 1978-1979 to consolidate a number of programs, previously scattered throughout Health and Welfare, relating to health promotion and the provision of health services. The HPCP begun in 1981, secures the participation of non-government and voluntary sectors by granting funds to them to conduct time-limited health promotion projects in keeping with the goals of HSPB. Target groups are children and youth, women, the elderly, disabled and other people affected by lifestyle choices (drugs, alcohol, tobacco, nutrition, hypertension, sexual transmitted diseases etc.).

Canada. Non-medical Use of Drugs Directorate. Summer Resource Fund : The Summer Resources Fund was coordinated by the Health Services and Promotions Branch (HSPB). The HSPB was created during the fiscal year 1978-1979 to consolidate a number of programs, previously scattered throughout Health and Welfare, relating to health promotion and the provision of health services. The Summer Resources Fund was a contribution program for students funded by the Non-Medical Use of Drugs Directorate (NMUD) to provide students with work experience (projects of 12-16 weeks duration) and further the interests of the community and the NMUD concerning drug use. The project was discontinued in 1981.
