Canada. Health Economics and Statistics Division : The Health Economics and Statistics Division of the Health Programs Branch (the forerunner of the Health Services and Promotions Branch) was responsible for providing socio-economic research and evaluation support in the areas of health policy planning data analysis and program evaluation and acting as a centre for socio-economic research in the field of health. The Division produced a wide variety of policy position papers, submissions to Cabinet, and reports and studies in the area of medical care, hospital care, health manpower and paramedical services, health expenditures, and family planning, abortion and fertility.
