Canada. Health Protection Branch. Bureau of Pharmaceutical Surveillance : The Bureau of Pharmaceutical Surveillance is responsible for evaluating new drug submissions and conducting post-market surveillance for human prescription drugs which are subject to tests other than clinical trials. Their responsibilities also include administration of the Drug Adverse Reaction program, coordination of pharmaceutical market research, evaluation of the manufacturing capabilities of foreign pharmaceutical producers, issuance of Drug Identification Numbers (DINs) and the Quality Assessment of Drugs program (QUAD).
