Sub-series consists of registers of correspondence from Lieutenant Governors Parr and Macarmick of Nova Scotia and Cape Breton and various other correspondents to the Colonial Office. The registers include the despatch number, date, date received and a brief description of the contents of each despatch.

Custodial history:

The precis books of 1788-1790 which constitute this sub-series were among the duplicates from CO 412 that the Public Record Office (UK) transferred to the National Archives of Canada following the PRO reorganization of 1908-1910. This provenance was established by examination.
