Ontario Historical Society : The Ontario Historical Society (OHS) is a non-profit corporation and registered charity that brings together individuals interested in the preservation of Ontario's history. Founded in 1888 as the Pioneer and Historical Association of the Province of Ontario, they were renamed as the Ontario Historical Society in 1898. The Society holds lectures, sponsors workshops and programs, and assists museums and historical groups. These activities encourage research, facilitate the exchange of ideas, and help contribute to the understanding of Ontario's history. The OHS is located in Willowdale, Ontario.
