The story of a camp for fishersmen where the men break the law limiting bass fishing during the spawning season. Pete Sprague becomes convinced of the necessity of controlling fishing activities to preserve the level of bass in the lake and, therefore, the future of his business as the operator of a fishing camp.~Film shows: close-up of a one-day calendar held in a pair of hands; notation on the calendar reads "Peter Sprague's fishing"; the calendar dissolves into a picture of a bass being held by a seated man; picture dissolves back into the calendar again; medium shot of character called George S.
