Collection consists of a short documentary film entitled Sherbrooke's centennial celebration 1837-1937.

Also included in collection are photographs depicting the Sherbrooke courthouse; bridge over the Magog River, Sherbrooke; and bridge over the Riviére St. François, Sherbrooke.

Sherbrooke (Quebec) : Sherbrooke, Québec, is located 147 km east of Montréal. The city was founded in 1802 by Americans from Vermont and, among others, by Gilbert Hyatt who built his mill along the Magog River. 1837 became the year of Sherbrooke's birth as an industrial city. Incorporated in 1952, the city was for many years a commercial, industrial and railway centre. In the 1960s it became a service centre. Sherbrooke is named after Sir John Sherbrooke, governor-in-chief of British North America from 1816 to 1818. The Canadian Encyclopedia online. 28 May 2002. .
