Fonds consists of the film A plan for rural schools (1946), a documentary short about the re-organization of the system of rural school administration in Alberta. Also included in fonds are sound documentaries entitled Access Alberta and Sounds of Alberta, recorded by the Alberta Educational Communications Corporation for inclusion in the Spring 1975 issue of Access Alberta.

Alberta Educational Communications Authority : The Alberta Educational Communications Corporation was established 17 October 1973 to provide delivery technologies such as satellite transmission, digitalization, teletext, videodisc multiplexing, videotaping and radio transmission. Also known as the Access Network, the Alberta Educational Communications Corporation is a Crown corporation that produces, markets, exhibits, acquires and distributes educational, cultural and informational television and radio programming. The network has produced several environmental programs including Baka : people of the rainforest; Great expectations : Recycling in Alberta; and The harmony puzzle, dealing with subjects including economic activity and environmental issues. In 1995 CKUA Radio Foundation purchased the radio division of the Alberta Educational Communications Corporation. In the same year the Access Television Network was purchased by CHUM Limited of Toronto.
