The series consists of files of correspondence and other business records documenting Dickson's membership in the Royal Academy of Arts (RA) in Great Britain, her participation in its annual summer exhibitions, and her sales through those exhibitions. The files were created by Dickson and her titles have been maintained. Included are files on individual prints, containing sales records and correspondence with collectors. Other files contain RA minutes and correspondence with fellow RA members, including letters from Bernard Dunstan, 1996, RA president Sir Philip Dowson, 1994-1996, and past-president Sir Roger de Grey, 1994. The files document Dickson's active involvement in RA affairs. The 2005 accrual includes additional sales records as well as files on the controversy concerning former Keeper of the RA Brendan Neiland and other staff members.

RA summer exhibition catalogues are filed at the end of the series, in two groupings, with the smaller unillustrated catalogues first, followed by the illustrated catalogues.
