The sub-series documents adaptations of Gowdy's novel 'Falling Angels' for film, including one version by Reidar Jonsson, author of the film 'My Life as a Dog', and another version by the German director Michael Verhoeven. The series includes a draft of the film script for 'Kissed' by Lynne Stopkewich, based on Gowdy's short story 'We So Seldom Look on Love'. There is film script based on another short story, 'Presbyterian Crosswalk', and a radio script based on her novel 'Mister Sandman'. The various adaptations contain Gowdy's manuscript annotations and revisions.

This sub-series includes printed emails between Gowdy, Christopher Dewdney, Jody Colero, and Anne Mackenzie about a potential film adaptation of The White Bone, dealing primarily with the development of a script. Sub-series also includes numerous annotated drafts of The White Bone screenplays and signed contracts for the film rights of Gowdy's works.

Contains scripts of adaptations of her work sent for Gowdy's comments by Bruce McDonald, Bruce McCulloch, Esta Spalding and Lynne Stopkewich. Also includes a video of a performance of the story "The Two-Headed Man".
