Ottawa Historical Association : The Ottawa Historical Association was founded circa 1972 to provide a forum to bring together those who work in historical fields and the general public. Membership ranges from University professors, archivists and students to civil servants and those from the general public with a passion for the past. The Association meets monthly between September and April of each year at Carleton University, the University of Ottawa, and the National Archives of Canada. Talks are predominately on, but not limited to, Canadian history. The Association is jointly funded by the Faculties of Arts at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University.
