This series comprises papers of his parents Frederic Augustus Morrison, a lawyer and judge in Alberta and one-time federal candidate for the Conservatives, and Mabel Whitney Morrison. Frederic Augustus Morrison (1875-1929) was from St. Stephen, New Brunswick originally but moved west and settled in Vegreville, Alberta, in 1905 as the town's first lawyer. The papers consist mainly of biographical material and speeches and addresses by Frederic Morrison to local clubs, schools, associations, and other gatherings in Vegreville, Stettler and Edmonton, 1911-1927. There is some material related to his studies at Dalhousie University in the 1890s. Mabel Whitney was originally from Calais, Maine, before she moved west to marry his father. From her, there are photocopies of correspondence and her manuscript reminiscences of "Mamie", their first housemaid or domestic servant in Vegreville.

The series holds a scrapbook of Evelyn Whitney McPherson (vol. 10, file 4) which includes 6 photographs, depicting members of the Morrison family, but three photos depict nurses at hospitals in Portland, Maine (1908-1909) and Boston Massachusetts (1916). In addition, the series holds 8 portraits of Morrison family members, including Frederic Augustus Morrison, Edward Morrison, Edith Morrison, Douglas Morrison, and Hugh Morrison, among others.
