Fonds consists of moving images produced and/or used by the Canadian Cancer Society including public eduation films. Titles include: Formula for success; Horizons of hope; and It's your decision.

Also included in fonds is a promotional filmstrip entitled A story for women (ca. 1950), made for the Canadian Cancer Society by the Commercial Photographic Studio, Eaton's of Canada, and narrated by Toby Robins. Accompanying sound track not included.

Canadian Cancer Society : The Canadian Cancer Society is a national, community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is to eliminate cancer and enrich the quality of life of people living with cancer. Founded in 1938 as the Canadian Society for the Control of Cancer, the original purpose of the society was to spread information regarding early warning signs of cancer to the Canadian public. Several years later its name was changed to the Canadian Cancer Society. The Society has since grown to include national offices in Toronto and Ottawa, 10 provincial and territorial divisions, over 600 community locations, approximately 220,000 volunteers (including canvassers), and approximately 450 full-time staff.
