International Federation of Television Archives : The International Federation of Television Archives (IFTA/FIAT), is a non-profit association of Television Archives established on 13 June 1977 in Rome by the BBC, RAI, ARD, and INA. The association was established to provide a means for cooperation amongst television archives, multimedia and audiovisual archives and libraries concerned with the collection, preservation and exploitation of moving image and recorded sound materials and associated documentation, still image and other materials.
