Shbib, Bashar : Bachar Shbib (a.k.a. Bashar Chbib) is a Montreal and Los-Angeles based producer, director, screenwriter and actor. Born in Damascus in 1959 to a German mother and a Syrian father, Chbib emigrated to Canada with his family at an early age. He was raised in the Eastern township of Quebec, and was educated at Montreal's McGill University, graduating with a degree in Microbiology and Immunology. Thereafter, he attended Montreal's Concordia University, earning a degree in Film Production. He made his first film at the age of twenty-three. Chbib works in Canada and the United States, in both film and television. His film credits include: La Mule et les émeraudes (1995), Ride me (1995), Bashar Shbib's draghoula (1994), Crack me up (1993), Love $ greed (1991), Lana in love (1991), Julia has two lovers (1990), 15 ugly sisters (1990), Clair-obscur (1988), Seductio (1987), Evixion (1986) and Memoirs (1985).
