The Medallic Art Co. grew out of the small workshop of Henri Weil near the turn of the century He was joined by his brother, Felix, and together they imported the first die reducing machine into the U.S., prior to 1905 In 1919, they were joined by Clyde C. Trees who, after assuming the presidency in 1927, helped to build the workshop into the institution it is today
