This show begins with a performance of the number two song on the hit parade, "Sixteen Tons", by Wally Koster. The number six song, "It's Almost Tomorrow", is sung by Phyllis Marshall. Woody Herman plays his hit song of the 1940s, "Caldonia". Joyce Hahn and the Hit Parade Dancers' Bill [Yule] sing "Love and Marriage". Wally Koster sings "Only You". Disc jockey [Irv Shore] of Edmonton radio station CFRN predicts that the song "Snuggle Up", already a hit song in England, will also be a hit in Canada. He introduces The Three Deuces who sing it. Woody Herman performs "Love is a Many Splendored Thing".
