Fonds consists of footage of Ontario Hydro facilities, ceremonies, executives, research and activities. Photographs depict: portrait of Messrs. Frank and Walter Moberly; group photo of members of No. 40 Course, ACOS, RAF. Object is an Ontario Hydro Coin Club medal commemorating the Canadian Cenntenial, 1967.

Ontario Hydro : Ontario Hydro was a crown corporation established in 1906 through the efforts of Sir Adam Beck. It was the first publicly owned electric utility in Canada, and also the largest electric utility in North America. Due to financial and technical difficulties occurring in the late 1990s, the Ontario government decided to split Ontario Hydro into smaller companies which could then be sold. Several of its nuclear reactors were also renovated or completely shut down. In 1999 Ontario Hydro officially ceased operation, replaced by several companies including Ontario Power Generation and Ontario Hydro Services Company (OHSC).
