Collection consists of films about life at the Grenfell Medical Mission in St. Anthony (Labrador). The films focus mostly on the medical activities in and out of hospitals, and the daily life of the people of the coast. Included are extracts from the film The viking and film clips of Sir William Grenfell himself.

Photographic material depicts views of Newfoundland and Labrador.

International Grenfell Association : The International Grenfell Association was incorporated in Canada on January 10, 1914. It was founded by Sir William Grenfell, a physician and surgeon based in Battle Harbour, Labrador, who also tended to the needs of other people in the region.
