Fonds consists of films promoting the Canadian fashion industry during the 1970s. Photographic material depicts: Canadian fashion design; Fashion Canada publication "Canada Fashion/Mode"; extensive coverage of Canadian fashion designers; portraits. Photographs are by Jim Allen, Taiji Arita, Serge Barbeau, Jeremiah Chechik, Karen Coshof, Patrick Gogarty, Gordon Hay, Philip Hersee, Yosh Inouye, Jacques Laurent, Greg Lawson, Don Miller, Larry Miller, Michel Pilon, Joy von Tiedemann and Richard Weakley.

Fashion/Canada : Fashion/Canada was a private corporation established May 3, 1973 and formed part of the National Design Council. It was funded by the federal government through the Department of Industry, Trade and Commerce and its manate was to promote Canadian clothing design. Fashion/Canada ceased operations in 1988.
