Custodial history:

This collection was part of the Canadian Film Institute's (CFI) transfer to the National Archives on May 12, 1975. The CFI originally received the material in 1973 from three different sources: Film Canada Presentations; The Thorne Company, who were the bankruptcy trustees for Film Canada Presentations; and Victoria Shipping, a film shipping and distribution company who were in possession of some of Film Canada's catalogue at the time of their bankruptcy.
