Collection consists of footage of the work being done at the Infants' Homes of Toronto and a documentary on the wards of the Children's Aid Society placed in foster homes in and around Bolton, Ontario. The films are entitled: Children's Aid Society and Transplanting babies.

Children's Aid Society of Metropolitan Toronto : The Children's Aid Society of Metropolitan Toronto had its roots in two separate agencies, each concenred with the welfare of children in that city; the Infant's Home, established in 1875, and the Children's Aid Society established in 1891 by J.J. Kelso. The two groups combined efforts in 1951 under the name the Children's Aid Society of Toronto in order to meet the needs of children more effectively without the duplication of services. In 1957, the agency expanded, taking over responsibility for child welfare services in municipalities outside the city of Toronto that had been served by the Children's Aid Society of York County and was renamed the Children's Aid Society of Metropolitan Toronto.
