Netherlands Film Museum : The Netherlands Film Museum (Nederlands Filmmuseum), situated in Amsterdam, was founded in 1946. As of 1997 the Museum housed approximately 30,000 titles including film collections from the silent period and the classical avant-garde period. In addition to its film collection, the Museum possesses about 40,000 film posters, 100,000 film photos and large collections of books, magazines, projection equipment, and sheet music. This material was part of the Canadian Film Institute's (CFI) transfer to the National Archives on May 12, 1975. The CFI received this material between 1966 and 1969 from the Netherlands Filmmuseum.
