Collection consists almost exclusively of Pathé Gazete news clips featuring Allied soldiers in England and on the Western, Italian and Mid-Eastern fronts. The camera focuses also on royalty participating in various functions, on civilians busy with the war effort, and, in Canada, on various newsworthy events such as floods, an Arctic expedition, early aviation and municipal functions.
