Warner Brothers Distributing (Canada) Ltd : Warner Bros. Distributing (Canada) Ltd., was formed as a branch of the Warner Bros. film studio, circa 1969. The company, distributor of Warner Bros. films in 35mm and 16mm formats, was first headed by Irving Stern who worked for Warner Bros. for 27 years. He was replaced by Philip R. Carlton in 1989. Carlton also held the position of Canadian Division Manager. The main office is in Toronto, Ontario. By 1998, Warner Bros. distribution arm was renamed Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.

Custodial history:

Some of this material was part of the Canadian Film Institute's (CFI) transfer to the National Archives on May 12, 1975. The CFI received material from Warner Bros. Distributing (Canada) in 1971, 1973 and 1974. The National Archives also received material from this donor in 1976.
