Ronin Films : Ronin Films is a film distribution company based in Canberra, Australia. The company was formed in 1974 by Andrew Pike and his wife, Merrilyn. Between 1974 and 1998, Ronin imported foreign feature films for distribution in Australia and New Zealand. The company also acted as distributor for independent Australian films, often investing in film projects and occasionally acting as guarantor. Starting in 1998 Ronin scaled back its theatrical distribution activity and began concentrating on the distribution of educational fiction and non-fiction material for Australian community education. Ronin Films also runs several cinemas in Canberra that specialize in showcasing domestic independent films. 206909
